Faith Home Health and Hospice, LLC., believes in the power and responsibility of giving back to our local community. As a part of our regular yearly commitment, we encourage our staff to participate in one of at least four community service initiatives a year. These events are meant to be fun and rewarding for our staff, but also remind us of the gift of giving and how that feels to “pay it forward”.
Some of the events we have supported in the last several years are:
- Sweet Memories, sponsored by Mosley Street Melodrama, The Alzheimer’s Association and Faith Home Health and Hospice. This event generates financial support for the services of our local Alzheimer’s Association: Western and Central Kansas Office.
- The Heart Walk, supporting the American Heart Association.
- Bowl for Kid’s Sake, supporting the Big Brothers Big Sisters programs.
- RCR Golf Tournament, supporting the Alzheimer’s Association. Faith has signed on to be a sponsor of this very special event. All the proceeds of this fundraiser goes towards respite care scholarships to help individuals and their families when faced with an Alzheimer’s diagnosis.
- American Red Cross Resource Room, supporting the American Red Cross. At our regular continuing education events at the Red Cross, we ask that participants bring requested items such as hygiene products, socks, etc., to assist those in need that are served through the many programs the Red Cross offers.
- Adopt-A-Family, our staff adopt families at Christmas time from area agencies like the Domestic Women’s Shelter, providing gifts, food and support for local families in need.
- B98 Turkey Drive, supporting the United Methodist Urban Ministry program, offering a Thanksgiving meal to less fortunate families.
- and so much more…
If you would be interested in supporting the employees of Faith in their mission to give back, feel free to call our office at 316-618-6800 and ask for Robert Miller for more information on our community service initiatives.
